Run, stretch and dance in fall's top tights

Fall is quickly approaching and the change of temperature means a change in workout gear. As you swap in your workout shorts for capris and long pants, Girls Gone Sporty wants to ensure you pick the best pair for whatever your workout preference may be.  Whether you need to find tights for cycling or yoga, to keep warm or just to look great, we compiled the six best workout tights for women (plus an extra option, just because!). Check out our list to find your new pair for fall.

#1: Best running tights

Nike Tech Running Capris ($58): On a long fall run you need your tights to stay dry and warm, and Nike’s Tech running capris do just that. With water-resistant panels on the front of the leg and ankle vents on the back, these tights keep you dry against sweat and even rain. The capris also have a reflective strip on the calf, a nice feature for those who run later in the day.

#2: Best cycling tights

Athleta Spin Knickers ($64): These cycling tights stand out from the rest because they are padded just enough to get you through a grueling spin class, but are still comfortable and cute to walk around in. Women also love how the non-slip calf grip and the drawstring waistband keep these tights in place through a long ride.

#3: Best cold weather tights

Under Armour ColdGear Frosty Compression Tights ($50): If you plan to workout in the chilliest of weather conditions, these are the tights for you. Featuring a dual-layer fabric that is soft on the inside and sleek on the outside, these tights insulate your body throughout the entire workout. And, with the Under Armour compression technology your muscles will stay fresh longer and recover more quickly.

#4: Best yoga tights

Zobha Straight Leg Capri ($68): Women rave about these tights, and even Stacy Keibler and Reese Witherspoon have been spotted in them. Customers love how soft and durable the Supplex and Lyrca blend is, keeping them from fading or pilling. And the best part is they come in eight different colors, my favorites being purple opulence and bright rose – bound to keep you cheery through the cold weather!

#5: Best sweat-to-street tights

Lululemon Presence pant *Denim ($98): When you want a tight that works as well on the street as it does in the gym, you can’t go wrong with Lululemon’s Presence Pant in denim. Built for yoga, these tights offer four-way stretch and a crossover waistband to get you through your workout, but their denim construction and straight-leg fit make them look like standard jeans when paired with a long tank or tunic top. Just keep in mind that the thicker denim material has a little less give than standard yoga pants, so you may want to size up.

#6: Most fashionable tights

Adidas by Stella McCartney Run Tight in Ombre ($110): From fashion to hair, ombre has been all the rage lately, and now you can incorporate it into your workout gear. Stella McCartney has been designing fashion-forward workout gear for Adidas since 2005, and these colorful leggings are one of the line’s staple items. The bright yellow, white, and gray ombre pants feature a tight fit and Adidas’ climacool technology, and are sure to make you a standout at the gym!

Best Dance Pants

Lululemon Studio Pant II *No Liner ($98): While these pants may not be tights, they’re a perennial favorite among Lululemon customers and they’re exactly what you need for your next Zumba class. Made of Lululemon’s Swift fabric – a lightweight fiber material with two-way stretch, the loose fit and breathability keep you cool as you move, making them perfect for dancing. One thing to keep in mind is that these pants run long, so you may want to size down.
