Bio: Erin Kreitz Shirey is a Personal Trainer, CEO of Power Fitness PDX, Health/Fitness Writer, Media Personality, competitive triathlete and busy Mamapreneur. Erin overcame an eating disorder by the time she was 16 and decided to dedicate her life to helping others improve their self-esteem through athletics. She got her BS in Kinesiology at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, studied with some of the most dynamic Master Trainers and challenged herself to teach various forms of fitness. Certified in Personal Training, TRX, Real Ryder Cycling, Fit to Deliver, Pilates Mat and Sports Nutrition, Erin’s eager to constantly evolve with fitness.Before starting her business, Erin trained private clients, taught Adaptive PE, was Cal Men's La Crosse Conditioning Coach and created Women's Sports & Conditioning programs for corporate fitness giants like Club One. Called a “Pint sized motivational muscle” by cycling legend Greg LeMond, Erin dove into teaching stroller fitness classes in addition to Power Fitness PDX boot camps after becoming a mom. Creating a supportive community teaching families to "live fit," helping parents become their strongest selves yet, became her passion.Erin overcame challenges with both of her daughters when faced with life threatening medical conditions. Having required lengthy hospitalizations, the experiences evolved her business focus. She shifted to motivate all to “live deeper in developing your most positive, active, vibrant and dynamic life possible." Having trained thousands of clients over the years, Erin’s blog, Dig Deep. Play HARD!, is a mantra cheered at the end of every boot camp. The phrase encourages all to reach beyond comfort zones and Dig DEEP into where it was once thought impossible, allowing them to Play HARD! with those they adore. The blog covers workouts, training, motivation, clean eating, family fitness, embracing life's challenges and how to live vibrantly.
